We make fine, custom Black & White prints on fiber or resin coated paper as well as digital Piezo (Giclee) Black & White prints (any size!) and make beautiful piezo pigment ink color prints from colour negatives and slides (transparencies). We scan all sizes of negatives, transparencies, and prints of any kind with our Imacon Flextight or Creo Scitex Pro.
We do professional repair and restoration of old photographs and specialize in designing and creating custom exhibits for museums, trade shows, and retail POPs. Our History

Originally opened in Okemos, Michigan in 1980 as a small photo studio and custom photo lab, Superior Photo & Design has, like the photography business itself, gone through many peaks, valleys, and changes through the years and has grown, adapted, and survived as Superior Photo & Design LLC.

Our mission is to provide a professional and fine art film and print services to serve those who choose to work with analog photographic processes, from traditional silver-based film and paper emulsions to older, more antiquarian processes, including wet plates, platinum/palladium, and other "alternative" imaging processes. We carefully and precisely handle any size film or print, and any known (and some largely unknown) processes, including true, hand-processed, silver-based "true" (NOT chromogenic) black & white.

While our primary focus is analog imaging, we do also offer fine digital piezo pigment ink printing, high-end scanning, a custom mounting, laminating, and finishing department, and modern design services, creating unique gallery, museum, and trade show prints and exhibits.
